  My mom is from New Orleans and we grew up on real beignets from Cafe du Monde in New Orleans-- NOLA Donuts are truly the real deal. They taste just the same and are absolutely deeeeelicious! Can't recommend enough. Perfect beignets!

  A real hidden gem. The interior is ridiculously cute, stylized just like the french quarter, despite its unassuming store front. The coffee is good like other nearby coffeshops. But, the real star of the show here are the pastries. The beignets are out of this world. They are made to order and are fresh, warm, and scrumptious. I hope this place does well!

  I had the s'mores donut and it was amazing. There was brown sugar around the marshmallow inside the donut-heaven. Friend got the apple fritter and said it had nice, Bavarian taste. I'm not sure what that means.... but she didn't share! Ready to go back asap.

  I wanted to like this place so badly! I tried one of their doughnuts at New Seasons and loved it despite the expensive price tag. I was so stoked when I saw they were opening up a storefront close to my apartment. I have been walking by every night with my dog dreaming about delicious doughnuts. Portland is a donut city and I am a donut girl. The customer service was apathetic and lifeless; the exact opposite of what New Orleans is! There weren’t any other customers either and yet it felt like a ghost town and the interaction was awkward even though I was jazzed being there. I placed a good sized order but was clumsily asked if I needed a bag or box even though it was clear I needed something other than the individual baggies. Still, I overlooked it and eagerly awaited my first bite into doughnut heaven when I arrived home. Disappointment again! The bite size babies are dry or overly greasy and my apple fritter isn’t baked all the way through. Maybe an off day in the bakery? This may seem like a harsh review, but with so many options for gourmet doughnuts in Portland (and at the prices they are charging) the competition is fierce. Unfortunately, NOLA didn’t make the cut. I was going to be their biggest fan and throw mad money at them, but today just wasn’t their day. Peace, love, and donuts friends 💜💛💚🍩
