  Sushi place near our apartment and somewhere we haven't been yet.. sad to say it didn't live up to expectations. There are 2 other sushi places in the neighborhood preferable over this one, so unfortunately Niu takes the bronze. The rock shrimp sounded so good.. and was SO bad. It looked neon, almost like it was coated in flaming hot cheetos. It actually turned us off on ordering any other shrimp on the menu. However.. the rose was good and it sparkled so that made me happy.

  Family owned Chicago restaurant. This is a fine place for fusion and it’s good.Quality ingredients.Beautiful presentation.Decor dated and could use a redo.Service Good.Parking non existent. Pricing average. Yes the next time I have a yen for Pan Asian Sushi I will be back. AWARDED 1.5 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3

  Ridiculously over priced place for the food they serve. I ordered seaweed salad for pickup and received green salad with one huge piece of cucumber, two huge pieces of tomato and with literally one table spoon of seaweed!!! When I called them back as soon as I got home and opened container I was told that this is the way they serve seaweed salad! And this salad costs $7. Can you even see seaweed in the photo? :) I was ready to pay more for a good salad, but not this. This is insane. Very disappointed first experience.

  Tonight. The patron seated close to me was over served by the staff and started commenting on the ethnicity of the staff and other patrons using very racist and misogynistic terms. I alerted the manager (possibly owner and or partner) of this patron's behavior and was told he was regular. I was very upset and alarmed in this climate with his behavior. The manager's response was extremely dismissive and indifferent. If this is the type of atmosphere you enjoy this is your place. The location is interesting but it might be more appropriate located in Trump Tower.
