::GREAT prices! WORST service ever. Shop here 2-3 times a week because I live near by. Today my husband and I got a $70 bottle wine and trust me, we could’ve spent $100 but were so bummed by having a bad experience AGAIN.

::Great selection in a relatively large shop. Compared to a lot of the other wine stores in the area it has the best selection for the best prices, I would not waste my time going elsewhere if you are in Hell's kitchen. The staff are helpful and not pushy. All round great experience.

::In town from San Jose, California for 5 days to celebrate Thanksgiving. Needed some supplies to get my wife and I through the week. As tourists, we quickly realized that liquor is not sold on every street corner. I then searched google for recommendations and found a lot of terrible reviews of establishments either being rude, arrogant or price gauging. Based on the reviews, I chose to take my chances at Ninth streets. I first noticed the place was nice, clean with guests who appeared to take the acquisition of liquor with a great deal of thought and gratitude. I then met the staff. Funny, polite and insightful. The prices were well in line with my expectations. The only down side was I had to walk a couple streets past the lower rated competitors to get there. IT was well worth the steps. And my wife and garmin said I needed the steps anyway. I highly recommend this place. No shenanigans, drama or price gauging. Get treated like a local. Nothing more to say.

::I miss this place. This was always a nice little spot for me to duck in for lunch while doing jobs in the city. for a while I was here once a week for the roast beef sandwich with horseradish cheddar on fresh baked bread. So good. They also always have a good selection of craft beer on tap, and an even bigger selection of cans/bottles.
