Horrible experience will never go to this hospital again!!!! Saturday my husband Joe was in horrific pain we went to Hudson Valley as it is close to our home He was running a fever and had a pain in his left flank in his back We did not see a doctor we were seen by a PA she did a CT scan and found a kidney stone stated it was 6mm and he may pass it , maybe he can wait until Monday to see an urologist - they gave hin some morphine and when we left he was still at a 6 on a scale of 1-10 regarding the pain they told us to come back if the pain continues What a night!!! My husband was in so much pain I called Hudson Valley ER and spoke with a person named Donna she stated: well you can come back if you like and we can give him more meds or just wait 3 days until he passes the stone as you can pass up to 8mm and just give him motrin !!! THAT'S IT I AM NOT GOING BACK TO ER so we went to Northern Westchester in Mt Kisco. What a difference , we were met with a doctor not a PA, they took us right in gave him 2 types of meds ,took the pain completely away , he was comfotable they read the CT scan , took blood, urine and did an xray COULD NOT BELIEVE IT, the stone was not 6mm it was 12mm the size of an Acorn and it was wedged in his internal tube The Surgeon stated "HE WILL NEVER PASS THIS STONE !!! At Northern Westchester everyone was so wonderful! Dr. Weinberg came in on a Sunday to do the surgery- he was the best ! Northern Westchester was AMAZING !! my husband came home today and is doing well I got a message from that Donna person I called her back at Hudson Valley wondering why we did not come back - told her we went else were and how my husband needed surgery LUCKY WE DID NOT WAIT 3 DAYS FOR THIS STONE TO PASS!! ,she told me that they are limited in the type of meds they can give a patient and when they run out they can't get more (really ????) **** I tried to call Hudson Valley to speak with a Susan in Quality Care she was not available states in her voicemail to call back and ask for Mary, I called back for Mary her admin person just transferred me back to Susan's voice mail A JOKE I called earlier today it is already 1pm and I have not been called back ***** ****Update*** Susan has called me bsck at 2pm and she will investigate my situation ****** IF YOU NEED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE GO TO NORTHERN WESTCHESTER THEY ARE A TOP NOTCH HOSPITAL THAT CARES AND THEY WILL RESOLVE THE PROBLEM!

I feel the need to write about my experience at the ER at NYP. It’s amazing to go somewhere for medical attention and receive the comfort, courtesy and kindness of ALL the staff in the department. From the techs to nurses and doctors, this was by far the most stress-free and pleasant ER experience I have ever had. Thank you NYP. Your commitment and care for this Veteran does not go unrecognized or unappreciated. Thank you for all you do.

I went to the Emergency Room yesterday afternoon and Alot of test where done on me.Most all the Staff was nice. After all my test my door was closed and i had no bell in a need for help.I was in there 45 minutes. No one came to check on me.After 30 minutes.I was calling for a nurse loud about 6 times.I had to call the Emergency main telephone number to get someone to help me get to the ladies room. That is unacceptably.

My daughter went to their ER with a full blown asthma attack. They gave her a pregnancy test and let her sit there for two hours. I phoned and talked to her nurse. I asked why she wasn't getting her breathing treatment for her full blown asthma attack. I got a snotty answer. Nurse actually said " I was on my way to give her the meds but I had to stop and talk on the phone with you. As soon as I get off the phone, I can give her the breathing treatment. Wow wow wow.
