  I was initially very pleased with NY Builders. Then towards the end of the job everything changed. Communication stopped, and the lies began. Took forever to get the job finished. Every time I called it was another story. I tried getting in touch with an owner but could not. It was like pulling teeth. Also the archway they cut in my doorway is not symmetrical, and the paint job in the dining room was so bad even the electrician they sent commented on how bad it was. Stay away from this one.

  The workers who did the job were great. Everything was to my satisfaction and well pleased with the work. However, management was somewhat less than satisfactory. The contract said the work would begin within 10 days to 2 weeks. It was actually five weeks before the work began. I constantly had to call to find out what was happening. They did get back to me but I believe they should have called me first. The quote was not for a complete job, which I thought it was. So I have unfinished areas on my house. "It wasn't on the contract" they said after the job was done. "I should take it up with the salesman." Now they want another $2200 to finish. Will never do business with these people again. To review, workers great, management not so much.

  I contracted New York Builders to replace my existing front deck. The old deck wasn't done properly and was rotting away. They had the work completed within 3 weeks of my signing for it. The new deck is beautiful, They met my expectations and actually exceeded them. I must say that I do not usually issue compliments easily, but you must give credit where credit is due. Santiago (the installer) was neat, courteous and professional. He was very receptive to my preferences and always cleaned up after he left for the day. John (the project manager) was on top of every aspect of the job and kept in touch with me on its progress. Michelle in the office also kept in contact with me on deliveries and projected completion times, all in all this is a professional company, and I will recommend them to anyone who needs home improvement work.   this renovation was a really good experience. the crew was timely and respectful. Michelle was amazingly helpful during the whole experience with her knowledge and also at keeping me near the budget. will use them again.
