  I had gone to this salon for about two and a half years. I had never had a problem and usually did pretty nice work. It was nothing to shout about but I'm a student and they did a decent job for the price. Last week I went in for a relaxer and came out with a chemical burn on the side of my face. I didn't feel any discomfort at the time, and didn't even notice it until I got to school and tried to put my glasses on. When I looked in the mirror, it was bright red and there was a clump of hair covering the bottom half of the mark. The woman took a bunch of hair, put gel in it and tried to bunch it up to hide the burn. I was not amused. I immediately called to tell the manager (a woman) what happened. She said it was normal. When I told her it was a burn to my face, not my scalp she told me to come in the next day to show her. When I went in the next day, I spoke to the manager (this time a man-I have no idea to this day who the manager is). He shrugged his shoulders and looked at me blankly. When I told him I wanted some of my money back he looked surprised and said "no, no, no, no!" I told him how long I had been coming there, showed him and the hairdresser the burn. They both shrugged and said, it's a chemical, it happens. I spent the next few minutes arguing with them telling them that I couldn't believe that not only were they treating me like I'm complaining about nothing but that they wouldn't even apologize. Finally, the "manager" threw $20 at me and said "You want money, here! Take it!" I have never been so insulted in my life. Needless to say, I will never step foot into that place again!!
