From anchorage court email We cannot advise you on this issue. If you want assistance through this office, you must submit another application. You can also go to the Court and ask them what you need to do regarding the envelope they sent you. I've seen people who were getting married. Some of the staff have their children in the back

This could very easily be a 5 star review. I've been going through the process of changing my name, and it's been a bit frustrating. Every time I have dealt with the court clerk I've been a bit grumpy coming into the interaction, and they've always managed to be clear, informative, helpful, and pleasant; often I'm in a better mood afterwards. There are of course the long lines and complicated paperwork that goes with any government beurocracy, but the clerks manage to keep things moving, and helped me through the complicated parts quickly and efficiently, so people behind me weren't left waiting, but I also felt acknowledged and confident in the help I received. Really, the only reason I didn't give a 5th star is the phone service, there was no clear option for the clerks office, so I pressed 0 for operator, and was left in phone ringing limbo for about two and a half minutes... which is a long time to listen to a phone ring. Once it was answered I was immediately put on hold... which was dead silence... which was worse than the ringing... it was awful. But then the clerk picked back up and she answered all my questions with trademarked efficiency and finesse, and made me feel confident that I'll be able to enter the nightmare of changing my name with the social security office, the DMV, the PFD office, and all the multitude of places I need to go within a fortnight... yes I just used that word.

I don't know who is in charge of the mail/ paperwork portion of the court. But whoever it is needs to be replaced. My mail has been lost TWICE within the last 5 months. So I end up having to take time off work to make it down to the courthouse to fix the issue. NOT happy !!!
