  Saturated with straight women who treat the bar like a zoo for gay men. Bartenders can be either very welcoming or completely aloof. Food is OK. Impossible to navigate on weekend evenings.Drink prices comparable. Recent controversy about the police flag is foolish and owners have a history of caving to anyone who throws a political tantrum. In fact the bar seems to attract an entitled niche. Not their fault. Events like bingo, poker, game watching are welcome. Nellie's does act as an "anchor" for the city's community in ways that other bars don't; they are big supporters of Pride &c.

  If you want some rip, roaring fun and plenty of food, go to Drag Brunch! These talented performers will have you so entertained. Be sure to bring plenty of $1 bills to tip these awesome ladies!

  I went to one of the drag brunches for my birthday and had a fantastic time! The entertainment was fun and eventful. I really enjoyed the buffet and the variety of food they served. The drinks were also delicious. I really enjoyed myself and I am glad I ended my birthday celebration there. I HIGHLY recommend checking out the drag brunch!

  Came there because it was written "no cover" on the entrance panel (which changes from other establishments and makes it good for the wallet). The ground floor is a normal friendly pub but upstairs, we discovered a charming scene. The band on stage was amazing, skilled and communicative. The audience was nice and dancing. There were also tables and chairs and the cocktails were well dosed in alcohol. A real gem!
