  I call to make a appointment and I’m transferred from person to person asking who do I wish to speak to.simply want to make an appointment so they keep transferring my call till I give up or they hang up on me. It’s irritating and causes me anxiety whenever I call.

  My daughter took car service to keep her appointment at NCC one cold snowy afternoon. Upon her arrival she paid the standard copay and waited to be called for her scheduled appointment.Aproximately twenty minutes later she was credited her copay,and told her therapist wasen't available. The patients responsible to give twenty four notice when canceling any appointments at the clinic.lf not with in twenty four hours they will bill you. This is understood, a business that helps people, time is valuable. This is a standard the clinic has set. Patients are aware of this from the start, standard practice now a day in the medical profession. A common courtesy to say the very least. A courtesy that should favor the patient, when they arrive for scheduled appointment that is canceled. My phone calls to the clinic looking for a credit on the account were met with resistance . As compensation my daughter was given the right to cancel any future appointment at a moments notice with out being billed. I think a credit to her account should be mandatory. These business practices are unacceptable and leave a lot to be desired.

  I brought my young daughter here to get her evaluated because I felt she would benefit from some therapy. The intake coordinator was wonderful and so was the psychiatrist. Both of them spent time asking a lot of questions and we felt heard. After that, it went downhill. Claire is in charge of setting up appointments. Right after she would call you, and you would call her back, she would be on the phone, or away from her desk. You would leave her a message and it would take her several days to get back to you. Eventually when she did get back to you, she would give you an appointment weeks away, which will then have to be cancelled because 1)The therapist no longer works those days or 2) We showed up and the appointment was cancelled and NOBODY called to let us know (although Claire would claim she INDEED, called us). So finally months after, we got an appointment with a new therapist, she saw me for 15-20 mins (appointments are suppose to be for 45 minutes), and proceeds to cancel the next two appointments we had with her because she was *cough cough* not feeling well. I am horrified by the lack of professionalism on the part of the last two people we had to deal with. We will no longer go here. Do not waste your time here. We were invested and realized, it was getting worse and not better with each lackadaisical and irresponsible person we dealt with.

  I have had a good experience at the center. Therapists (2) that I have counseled by were quite professional. My thoughts and feelings were listened to and respected. I have encountered solutions from these therapists which were very helpful in my day to day living. Caring psychiatrists who listen for any problems and provide effective medications and advice. My stay with the center has been 3+ years and productive in terms of positive behavorial changes in my life. Thank you Neighborhood Counseling Center.
