Attended "Meet the Doulas" - what a life-changing evening! I'm so touched by the generosity of the event and how much I learned from so many amazing women. This was truly a community service.

Best baby store and support center in the city. Fantastic place to take classes related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting, (they even offer doula courses.) Also has a small store which offers many unique products for baby, pregnancy and postpartum you can't find anywhere else in SF. Staff is knowledgeable and supportive, and completely fine with you just stopping by to nurse, change a diaper, use the restroom, have some water or a snack, weigh your newborn, or ask a question. Highly recommend this as a resource for new parents.

Warm, welcoming atmosphere and great people -- as the name suggests, it's more of a support center and classroom that also sells supplies than a retailer per se - they're staffed with people who know not just the products but the processes (bathing, breastfeeding, birthing, whatever) those products are for. They know what mental state new and upcoming parents are in and built the store to accommodate them -- you tend to drop in, change the baby, sit and nurse while nibbling the snacks and reading the books for a bit, which is just part of how they designed the shop to be used. If you're using Tiny Tots' diaper service (the only one serving SF with cloth diapers), they have a membership as well -- change your kid, leave the used diaper in their pail and take a clean one rather than lugging the used one home - found myself doing that quite a few times when I happened to be within a block or so. They also have a lending library of slings so you can use each one for a few days to make a good decision on what to buy, which is pretty neat.

Our preferred store for baby-related stuff. Not as comprehensive as some places (e.g., no car seats, few clothes), but very friendly & helpful.
