Informative museum about the African-American experience nationally and locally. Beautiful building, passionate and knowledgeable staff. I wish there was more about Cincinnati specifically in their permanent exhibits. Since the exhibits and interpretations already go beyond the underground railroad era - eg the Transatlantic Trade during the heyday of the Portuguese Empire - I also wish there were more about Civil Rights Era.

This is important history for Americans to understand and acknowledge. The museum presents this in a coherent, interesting way, incorporating the actual words of slaves and presidents, as well as documents from the 500 years since slavery was instituted. We need to know our history!

Really enjoyed the guided tour through the main 3rd floor exhibit hall. The tour guide did a excellent job conveying information, telling stories and engaging group to keep us interested. The 2nd floor modern slavery exhibit hall had many displays that were broken or in poor repair.

This Museum was absolutely Amazing. If you are someone who likes to take their time in a Museum and absorb absolutely EVERYTHING that it has to offer, I suggest making plans for about 4 hours to be there. There was so much amazing and detailed information about the the Underground Railroad and it did not stop there! This Museum has a lot of Excellent information, presentation, etc...I was giddy the whole time. Even the employees were friendly and knowledgeable. I will be back!

Excellent museum in the perfect area. I appreciated the way they detailed the history and travel paths that were utilized. This was a very pleasant, unexpected history lesson.
