Went to a wedding at the aviary. The venue was a great experience. From the birds singing during the ceremony to meeting Marybeth the penguin it was a unique and refreshing experience. The food was incredible! Atria's catered the event. They even were able to accommodate various dietary needs with deliciousness and appeal.

Incredible aviary. It's surrounded by beautiful buildings and is a metropolitan oasis. The conservation work they do here is awesome and the staff is friendly and educational. I was stunned by how beautiful a wedding I attended looked, they did a wonderful job with the decorations, set up and lighting. To my eyes, one of the most memorable nights I have had in awhile!

This was my 1st visit, & I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! ( I attended with a Preschool class) The Aviary was much cleaner and more modern than I had expected. The guides were very informative, and the program "Mother Nature" put on for the Preschoolers was funny and age-appropriate. I would allow 1 1/2--2 hrs, depending how quickly you go through the exhibits. (The Rainforest exhibit was undergoing renovations, so we did not get to visit that area). It was an enjoyable visit, and I would go back!

Great place for taking out of town guests, especially children. Check out the times on the various demonstrations and shows, because the two I've happened to stumble on (the bat feeding and the tropical bird demo) were well worth the large crowd. No extra charge! It's a great addition to the Children's Museum, but I'd say go beforehand and take on the Children's museum after lunch because that place is exhausting!

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit here. The facility was very clean and all of the staff were very friendly and informative. It is well worth the money. $15 per adult and $5 to park. That's less than what dinner costs at most restaurants. They offer a AAA discount of $2 per person so that made it even cheaper for us.
