  (Originally posted onto Yelp, but thought I’d share it here). I'll be honest, this store was an absolute disgrace. Don't be deceived by its cozy, neighborhood- record store look. I was in town for a concert at the Pabst theater later that day, and discovering that there was a record store nearby, I braced the cold (and windy!) walk over. I had read some of the online Yelp reviews before coming, and I wasn't expecting anything too nice, for most other reviewers didn't seem to have great things to say. The record store is basically a cramped, ugly basement filled with a bland selection of overpriced records. The store owner was an old man who was mostly focused on listening to the Cubs game on the radio, and when he did speak, it was to tell me not to do something. "Don't go back there! It's storage space!" Or "Don't look through that box, we've got the same records out already!" Does he even want my business? And if you don't want customers going into certain parts of the store, then at least just put up a sign saying something like "employees only, please keep out." He had a very large selection of 45's, yet when I came across some that I liked, I was disappointed to find out that they were all priced at $10, if not more. His 33 1/3 selection wasn't interesting, which I discovered upon looking at the records in stock for some artists I like (Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, The Clash, etc.). He had a decent selection of cassette tapes (The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Led Zeppelin, U2), yet, once again, the prices were terrible. $10 for a Led Zeppelin tape?! I did purchase a U2 tape, yet I only did because I had been unable to find it at my local Record Store. I have been to some Record Stores before, and I have never, ever had as bad as an experience as I did here. I would highly recommend skipping this store, unless you really are okay with a poor customer experience and paying top dollar for records that you could otherwise pay less for at literally any other record store. Never again.

  This shop has the best vinyl in milwaukee. Over the years I've bought originals of sabbath, bowie, talking heads, eno, dylan, tom waits, hawkwind, and the list goes on.. you just dont find this stuff most places without them being reissues. Prices are fair, if not a bit high, but all the vinyl is immaculate. Highly recommended.

  Best and pretty much only place to go if looking for a certain 45 in Milwaukee

  KEN IS ALWAYS QUICK TO RESPOND TO A REQUEST AND IS A GREAT STORE OWNER. BEST PLACE TO FIND 45 RECORDS AND RADIO RECORD SURVEYS IN THE WORLD.

  Awesome place to get your old 45 records, Ken is a great service oriented person, and the prices are good.
