  Wow this co screws everyone!!! Do NOT USE! Read on... I lost at least $2k of belongings...amd they told me to take hike cuz went to storage that referred me to them, Manhattan Mini—-but Not RESPONSIBLE ONCE THEY DELIVER TO UNIT—-really what am I supposed to do climb in the unit and look at every box and open to confirm my stuff??? Joke and scam and do not use . The people are thiefs...in August they moved me into storage and I just used a different mover and half my stuff is gone...and I gave the guys a lot of stuff because I was downsizing...and one of them tried to grab me. Do not use...then I call manager and he tells me to call police?!? They are the worst and totally lacking values...I got taken...I waa in a bind but never again....they stole a tool box, Bose stereo, steak knives, God knows what else. And nanager rude on phones be...gonna torture them now and get a lawyer as principle....I repeat DO NOT HIRE!!! Update—-so much missing.....my friend was there when they were packing and validates all. I am missing so much—-hard to even figure out...and gave idiot crew stuff which one of 3 managers I have now talked to said they are not suposed to do—-oh so them jus help selves to rest?! Manager told me today too late to get any money back as they delivered to storage in August and I should have told them then that things missing...I said was I supposed to gp open al boxes in thr storage unit before they left?!? RUN!!!! They are thieves...

  Extremely unprofessional. Manhattan Mini Storage.sources out to this company. and has nothing directly to do with them, a total scam!!! Disregards quotes and threatens to keep contents on truck if you question anything. They should not be allowed to operate a moving business.

  I had a great experience with Moving Ahead when they moved my stuff into Manhattan Mini Storage. Three guys, fast and efficient, courteous, and professional. I would recommend them base on my experience.

  Warning: If you choose to use Manhattan Mini-Storage's "White Glove Service" for your move into and out of their facilities, they subcontract out this process to a company called "Moving Ahead". Moving Ahead is a sketchy moving company that has a general disregard for your possessions and experience. I paid over $1,000 for their moving services into and out of their facilities. I also paid for them to individually wrap all of my valuable items, including artwork (over $30 in materials per item). When Moving Ahead brought my items back to my apartment (they physically took them off my wall, packed them, stored them at Manhattan Mini Storage, and unpacked them), two of my pieced of artwork had large gashes through the canvas. The movers admitted that whoever packed them didn't want to pay for the proper materials, and as a result they were damaged in the move. I was told not to worry, that insurance would cover their negligence. Instead, after over a month of trying to simply get sent the insurance form, Moving Ahead told me that they would cover "only a few dollars" of the damage. I escalated my concern to the owner, John Tarko, who informed me that they would not cover my damages. Avoid Manhattan Mini-Storage and Moving Ahead. Their are many other options in New York. Luke

  I am surprised by the negative reviews - our experience was very good. We used them in July to move from our previous office space in Midtown to storage on the Lower East Side, and then again yesterday to move from storage to our new office in Williamsburg. Our appointment was between 9 to 11, the driver Josh called at 9:45 to give us a 30 minute warning, just as promised. The 3 of them packed the van really quickly, and unpacked quickly on the other side as well. After 2 hours they were done. I am happy to recommend them!
