This is a classic New York City bakery. Moishes has incredible cakes, cookies and danishes. I love the fresh challah from here. Very nice staff and great prices. Important to know they do not accept credit cards, ever. Cash only!

So me and this bakery have history I use to work for them when I was 16 after school and on sundays which was the busiest days cuse fresh bread was made that day. I loved working there one of the best jobs I ever had the owner always was great I hope when I go back after 11 years with my children he will be there and remember me happy memories can’t wait to bring my babies to one of my happy places. Plus everything is great.. THE RAINBOW COOKIES TO DIE FOR.

Excellent! I often buy whole wheat bread from this store. And the apple triangle is also pretty delicious.

Splendid old fashioned Kosher Bakery.... Best Babka (cinnamon or chocolate), Chocolate Cigars to die for. Many strudels and cheese pastries and yes: Black and White cookies! All to pick up and go... Worth going a bit out of your way if you are anywhere near the East Village. Fresh! If it's a day old, they tell you and they discount you if you still want it! And believe me, it's still excellent! Ask for what just came out of the oven. If you're lucky it might be some chocolate thing still oozing warmish goodness. This place is from a bygone era. Don't let it pass you by

This is one of the few remaining authentic Jewish owned bakeries in lower Manhattan. The chocolate babka is always fresh and delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for real authentic Jewish pastries. I doubt that you'll be unhappy with the quality and service.
