The Modern showcases the expansive depth and variety of art in the city of Fort Worth. The building is a statement of creative minimalist modern architecture with the collection and visiting exhibits equally as impressive and world renown. Andy Warhol's Self Portrait looms over the second story flight of stairs as a welcome to the unexpected modern art pieces you will find throughout the Modern Art Museum of this traditionally Texas "Cowtown".

Great area to grab brunch on Sundays or dinner on Fridays. Beautiful outdoor view and very friendly, professional staff. Food is presented well with decent portions. Prices are fair and if you go on Sunday the museum is open to the public. Have fun enjoying and relaxing with all the different art galleries on display or enjoy outside on a nice day and read a book/catch up with a friend!

The Modern in Fort Worth is a great place to visit. It's architecturally interesting and beautiful landscaping. It often has major exhibits. My son and I enjoyed the KAWS exhibit and the Frank Stella Retrospective. It's also free every Sunday. My husband and I enjoy a date night at the movie theater there which also serves as a concert and lecture hall.

This museum is great! They had pieces from well known authors such as Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol! The rest of the art was obviously carefully and thoughtfully chosen. It was a delight to see! The parking was plentiful and free. The price was more than reasonable at ten dollars per person (students and military get a great discount). If you enjoy art, museums, and/or art museums, then I strongly recommend you check this place out!

We are fortunate to have this resource on our community. Visit the website first to find what is showing. The MAM often has challenging works and it is a good idea to read about a show before seeing it. There is usually a fee to enter. There are stairs involved but also an elevator if you need. There is a lovely little restaurant indoors surrounded by the pond outside the floor to curling windows. It’s a great place to have some soup and get ur Zen on.
