  Like the name suggests, has a bit of everything. Easy parking and interesting items. Like a massive gift shop with switchblade Combs, toy robots and candles. The place doesn't seem to habh registers. All purchases are given a hand written receipt. Takes a bit of time with f busy.

  I love mixed bag and so do my friends from out of town as well as locals who have never been there. It's one of the few places to offer free parking in that neighborhood. The kitchen gadgets and related items are wonderful, the greeting cards are hilarious as well as heartfelt. Every other genre you can think of is crammed into the space and is worth checking out for you or someone you know. You might pay a little more there for what you buy, but you will save more by not having to pay for parking. I have never dealt with a 'crabby' employee in this place. I don't mind waiting in line here because I am not in a hurry when I go there. I am happy to see other customers pulling out their credit cards to support a local business. To compare Mixed Bag with Evangeline's is ridiculous. As much as I like that shop it's in Old Sacramento - an entirely different part of town with lots of tourists and expensive parking. Combine shopping at Mixed Bag with a margarita and lunch at Tres Hermanas across the street and you will approach Nirvana. It doesn't get much better than that! Lots of other cool places in the neighborhood to explore as well. I love this little 'get-away' for a day just 5 miles from my home.

  This is such a treasure shop. An unassuming shopfront belies all that you will find inside. Yes, it's a perfect place to find gifts for your friends and loved ones -- especially lady friends, and children (this shop even has a section for very little ones.!) But moreover it's a place to get yourself a small indulgence or treasure. You just never know what you will find here. What you do know is that it will be decent to high quality, and not too unfriendly of a price most of the time

  Excellent place to grab that last second gift or that especially personalized gift. Great little store.

  This place truly is a mixed bag of novelties, crafts, cards, clothing, gifts, hell even some kitchen tools. It's a fabulous place to get a unique gift, find some off-beat cards, or just browse around at all this stuff you never knew existed. The staff are really friendly, and there's a private parking lot too - a bit of a rarity in midtown.
