  I love bookstores that let people sit and read. Coop has some of the most creative curation of books.

  Broadly, three sections: 1. MIT branded clothing (caps, shirts, belts etc) on ground floor. 2. High-brow general knowledge book-store with excellent history and puzzles section on ground floor. 3. MIT textbook section in basement. Judging by the computing section (which has 4 volumes of "The Art of Computer Programming"), the book selection has high signal-to-noise ratio.

  Good selection of books, and not just text books. A bit pricey. Also good for browsing or buying a good umbrella if you find yourself stuck at the T on a rainy day.
