    I am a changed person since I started coming to MINDSET Fitness & Yoga 3 months ago--both physically and mentally. I feel so much better about myself. All my life I've always taken care of others and put my needs (and my health) on the back burner. Not any more! 😊 My health and well-being are too important. Shortly after retiring 3 years ago, I was diagnoised with Lupus. My doctor encoraged me to find ways to incorporate excercise in my daily routine. I read reviews on my Neighborhood app and thought I'd stop by to check it out. After taking the tour, I could see that MINDSET was not like any other gym. The very next day, I started my journey to a healthier me! What I love the most about MINDSET are the warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable staff members. During the classes, they don't make you feel self-conscious when you have to adapt the excercises to accommodate any physical limitations. Dara takes the time to explain what muscles you're working during the strength and flexibility class (love, love Dara!). In the yoga classes, they are happy to show you how to adapt the yoga poses to what your body can do. I have never done circuit training, but I was curious about whether I could do it. A month ago, I nervously walked into the circuit room and talked to Avery (one of the other Trainers). He took the time to explain how the curcuit changes daily and that the excercises can be adapted. The best parts are that you're never alone, it takes 15-20 mins, and you don't need to make an appointment--come and go whenever you can! His explanation gave me that boost of confidence I needed to give it a try. I set a goal of going to circuit training 3 times a week. In less than a month, I can already feel my body changing. My balance, flexibilty, and strength have seen a huge improvement!!! At a recent doctor's visit, she was amazed at my transformation from when I saw her at the beginning of the year. I haven't met all of my goals yet (have a lot more work to do on my core and upper body strength), but I'm making headway. Lastly, I love the friendships I've made with the other members. We are all one big happy family. We encourage one another and offer each other support. They inspire me! I look forward to seeing them every day! Come visit and see for yourself!     Best gym experience I’m so glad a friend introduced me to MindSet Fitness and Yoga. I started doing circuit training, which I had never done before. I walk and bike ride and garden, but really needed to build up strength and flexibility. Some gyms I had tried before were not informed about what types of exercise someone in their 60’s is capable of and they were not great with adapting things to what I could do. Travis and the other trainers are so different. They encourage you to do your best, but are ready to adapt different exercises to your level. We go 2 to 3x a week and I can’t believe the difference. You are never left on your own, someone is always there helping you and making sure you are not doing an exercise safely. Luis and Becky are so helpful. Here is another thing I really like. The circuit class is almost all day. You go when you can, you are never late to class, and you come when you can and warm up, then do the circuit for that day. It is different and challenging. Travis has adapted exercises for my husband too. His work with MS helps him with understanding any conditions or injuries. Yolanda’s yoga class is also really great. She helps us stay strong and flexible. The friendly encouragement and fun from all the folks at the gym helps the workout go fast.     This is a little piece of heaven on earth, truly a spirit of wellness and acceptance here. Great variety of yoga classes, adaptive/chair yoga class is very popular - so friendly all new comers/first timers are at ease in all classes. The gym and circuit room also very popular. A great balance of fitness, wholeness, and Mind/Body/Spirit. Highly Recommend
