  Michael is a master and a class with him is invaluable beyond words. Not only is he incredibly skilled and experienced, but he has a gift for supporting each individual in being a brilliant singer consistently. After each class, I am thrilled with the results and the fun and enlightening experience. I also appreciate how he welcomes all singers, from professionals to those with an interest in singing for the first time, as we all learn from each other.

  Michael is a brilliant singing teacher! He is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and fun. I have studied with him for several years now and am singing with a level of skill, power and ease that I never knew was possible. I really value how he has helped me discover MY voice, (which continues to grow and expand) rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all approach. Plus he is a certified Alexander Technique teacher - incorporating the Alexander Technique into my lessons has amazing benefits, both in my singing and in my everyday living. And he has wonderful new group classes called "Singing Made Easy" - perfect for trying out new material and gaining comfort and confidence at singing in public. Whatever your level of skill, if you have an interest in singing, I highly recommend studying with Michael!

  Michael Hanko’s “Singing Made Easy” classes are innovative, fun and inspiring. I never know what to expect, as each class I attend is always different.  With Michael’s intuitive insight and creative suggestions, I discover my voice newly in each session.  I feel comfortable in my own skin and enjoy hearing my voice – instead of judging myself and second guessing my performance skills.  I am always amazed that I gain new awareness about singing, not only when Michael works with me in front of the class, but also when I observe him coaching the other singers who attend.      Michael Hanko is a brilliant vocal coach, and I discover my brilliance in his presence.  I highly recommend “Singing Made Easy” with Michael Hanko.  It is an unique class where expected and unexpected magic happens.

  Michael Hanko is a very gifted voice teacher and I've been studying with him for several years. But you don't need to be one of his private students to benefit from his new repertoire class. In a very positive and encouraging environment, he invites us to set aside our typical (mostly negative) judgements of ourselves and each other. He has an amazing ability to observe how we are singing and in within just a minute or two, make suggestions that lead to a much more stress-free and enjoyable singing experience. This class is definitely worthwhile and fun too!

  Michael is a top-notch teacher/instructor, whether it be Alexander Technique, body work or voice lessons. I originally sought him out for his Alexander Technique skills in connection with lower back pain I was experiencing. That successful effort progressed to body work related to other structural issues and finally to my hidden interest in voice lessons. In each case, Michael has been outstanding in terms of his applying his extensive training in the respective discipline as well as his overall intuitive sense of how to approach each individual student in the most effective way possible. On top of it all, Michael is a wonderful individual with great karma. In my book, you can't go wrong with him....
