  The Mezzrow jazz club is a much more intimate atmosphere than it's sister club Smalls. I arrived in the middle of a set, so I sat in the entrance hall rather than the main room. However, even though I was sitting at a table near the door, I felt more relaxed and not crammed into one space. The sound of the music, the jazzy bass and vocals, were heard clearly and enjoyed. Drinks ranges $5-$20, cover charge is $20 unless you already paid at smalls and have your ticket to get in. It's $25 cover charge to sit in the main area.

  Go on a Wednesday or Thursday, students play and it’s pretty special it also slightly cheaper and you can get a door deal with Smalls). Actually preferred this to Smalls in some ways. The interior is exactly like you’d want it to be at a intimate jazz club.

  I saw the lovely dionysian, Denna Kirk sing two sets. Good acoustics, pleasant staff, and a great bartender with red hair. Small, narrow, long room gets packed. Grab a chair and have a drink.

  Excellent music, quaint place cozy and easy to find. Live jazz band playing amazing tunes many of which are original. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

  Cozy, great service, amazing artists. Plus it's so intimate being so close to the band. Such a unique experience. I hate leaving at the end of the night.
