  Great neighborhood pub that offers a bit of this and a bit of that from all of the British Isles for a unique and warm pub experience. If your looking for pull tabs or sports on the TV your looking in the wrong place. All you'll find is great conversation and an organic approach to presenting live entertainment. Whisky lovers are drawn here by the legendary "Whisky Bible". Paranormal fans are not drawn by the alleged ghost of one of the previous business proprietors that was not mysteriously murdered in the back alley nor the basement. They are merely drawn by the hospitality and the fish and chips.

  It is a nice pub. I've been to pubs in England and Ireland and this is quite nice by comparison. Pleasant staff, good service. The food is just pub food. Which is to say, nothing special, really. Still, I recommend the place. Poor parking choices is the only downside.

  This is a great pub, and I wish we lived closer! Food is traditionally done, and so tasty. Family friendly. They have an extensive whisky list with rotating special options, if that's your thing. Great British beer list too. Darts in back. Oh, and an off-street parking lot. Check it out!

  There is no way in words for me to express my love and adoration of Merlin's Rest. It is one of the great gems of Minneapolis. The food is incredible, all of the drinks, from their seasonal mixed drinks to their unparalleled Scotch and Irish whiskey collection is superb. But more than anything else, its the STAFF that make Merlin's Rest the great place that it is. Friendly, kind, informative, and just plain great people. A wonderful place to bring friends. If you haven't been, COME! If you've been before, come back!

  Loved the Sunday Night Trivia--I'm sad that Phil and Sarah no longer do it. Food and drinks are alright. I'm not a huge fan of menu, but that's more my own preferences. Food can be a bit pricey for the quality, but it's fine overall. Servers are nice and atmosphere is fun. Bathrooms could probably be upgraded, but no complaints either.
