  This place is great for takeout but I cannot recommend dining in. My niece and I attempted to dine at Meiwahs on two separate occasions. The first time we were told that the sushi bar was not yet open but we said that was fine and we would wait 30 minutes. We were seated and expected to have our drink order taken but could not get anyone to come to the table. We got up to leave and that's when someone came rushing over. Decided to give it another chance after having fabulous takeout at work. My niece and I walked in the door and the host was in the middle of blowing his nose, almost violently, and he did not stop when he saw us enter so we had to just stand there and wait for him to finish. Finally he stopped and we could see that he was so sick, his nose and eyes were red and he looked just miserable. We both looked at each other and turned around and left. Meiwahs, shame on you! Give your employees sick days. No customer wants to be exposed to that.

  Things have changed and not for the better. I adore the food here, but the takeout experience is now really odd. You used to be able to go through the restaurant to the back area to pick up your food. It was easy, convenient, and you could use the elevator if you had any mobility issues. Now you cannot access the takeout area through the restaurant and you have to go up a set of stairs in the back of the building the restaurant is located in (not accessible if you have mobility impairments). There are a few chairs set up and a plexiglass door staff members speak to you through. It’s pretty dirty and the trash room is there…it’s just strange. I love the food here, but the current takeout system needs to change, please. This isn’t accessible or very clean. I’m hoping this is temporary!

  Not sure what the dine in situation is, but the take out situation is the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. Whatever you do, do *not* pay ahead of time.

  We ate here for lunch, and everything was good. We ordered kung pao chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce, pepper steak with onion, Hong Kong rice noodles with pork and shrimp, and pan-fried string bean Szechuan style. The service was quick, and the server was nice. We will also definitely be back to try their takeout options!

  The food was delicious and came out quickly. We had general tso chicken and Singapore noodles. Both could have been a bit spicier, but very tasty. The steamed dumplings and spring rolls were cooked perfectly.
