The staff at McManus made every single accommodation to make sure my father’s funeral was seamless. They were cost conscious with all there suggestions and helped us get the body overseas for the final burial. Anthony was my point person and I truly feel like we couldn’t have don’t this as smoothly without him. He was available to answer questions extremely knowledgeable and very compassionate. Death is really roughy MFH took care of every detail and gave over family the opportunity to mourn.

Worst place ever. My aunt recently died. This place came highly recommended. I called McManus yesterday and had a nice conversation with a gentleman, Mike, on the phone. We scheduled an appointment to finalize services for my aunt for today. Unfortunately, I was unable to go, but my sisters went. When they arrived, the funeral director was rude and obnoxious. He claimed that an appointment was never made. He kept screaming the he had no appointments for today. We could hear him screaming at Mike. He kept saying that he had a lot of S*** to do. He may have thought his office was sound proof, but it wasn't. Mike assured him that my family did have an appointment. The appointment was verified in his book. Then the director, asked when the funeral was supposed to be scheduled. When he was told this upcoming Friday, he stated that his parlors were booked and claimed we had made a mistake. My sisters called me, at work, I confirmed that I had reserved Parlor A the day before. At that time, The funeral director said he is about done with this conversation and pretty much dismissed them. Mike, then verified that Parlor was actually available. Mike apologized and asked us to step back into the funeral director's office. The director told us to have a seat outside and he would be with us in a couple of minutes because he had a phone call to make. My sisters felt so mistreated that they decided to leave. When you lose a loved one, it is already difficult to deal with the pain of that loss, but then to have someone treat you with disrespect and with a lack of sympathy and empathy makes the experience more painful. We are a family of professionals and deal with the public regularly. I would never recommend this place. Mike was kind enough to apologize as we walked out the door. He should consider working for a real funeral home. If I could, I would give Zero stars.

Very humble staff, nice enviroment, spacious, and affordable. Would highly recommend them to everyone! We had sad unexpected death of my mother over Christmas holiday and my family by no means have alot of money. We shopped around Torregrossa who was incredibly expensive, marine park who was so “busy” told us to come back snother time. We gave mcmanus a try, not only did they slash prices on so many things. But were flexible when it came to gifting us flowers, comping us extra time, and also allowing us since it was 2-9 straight through to eat in the back room. Highly recommend them.

If I could give no stars I would....... I used McManus to bury my mother and father in the last 5 years. 3 other friends of mine also used McManus......One night we got on the topics of funeral homes after hearing the loss of a dear mutual friend and that it was going to be at another Funeral Home....At which point my one friend said this other funeral home is sooo expensive. When we began talking about our experience at McManus which led into the next day we compared the paperwork only to see that we were ALL charged different prices for the same type of funeral (baring the casket). When I called the funeral home to ask not only did she seem unprofessional but she also acted as if I caught them! I was told that the price would be different for "shoppers" over the phone then it would be when you just commit to arrange through them.....When I pressed for further answers she ended up going into a deeper verbal spiral that made no sense and just uttered guilt. I was also told that if a family brought documentation from another funeral home sometimes they slash the price to "keep them". Which I was told is common practice in the funeral business and they were doing nothing wrong! Periodically over the next few weeks I would call or my husband would call to ask what a funeral would cost or what a cremation would cost......EVERYTIME we called we got a different price!! With that said we also called Torregrossa, Marine Park and Byrnes funeral homes.......They ALWAYS gave the same exact price and one of them informed me that FUNERAL HOMES are ALL regulated by the Federal Trade commission and that it was illegal to keep changing prices and suggested that we stay away from a funeral home who needs to break the law to stay in business. Iwill admit that I have never liked the idea of people being millionaires from burying my mom and dad but I also understand business is business. But you dont have to be a creep to benefit off the dead!!! STAY AWAY! If I can give any other advice I suggest you go online and read your consumer rights through the Federal Trade Commission before you commit to a funeral home....Knowledge is power especially in a time when your knowledge may be poisoned with grief. I hope this is helpful.....I never have commented on a business online but I felt it was my moral obligation to do so....
