::DO NOT DISCOUNT BASED ON AESTHETICS! This place is a legitimate wine shop with truly knowledgeable staff. One day I'm standing in front of the French wines deep in thought (I got distracted) and this kid comes up and asks if I need help. I did, but wasn't sure what I was going to get, so I asked what he thought of this $25 French red I was looking at. Well wasn't I the fool, this kid nailed it and he YES &'d me with a suggestion of another wine that I knew and he nailed that one as well. This place is three block further away from my home than the nearest wine shop, so I have to walk a little further, but it's worth it. These guy know their grape. BTW: Bonus tip, they usually have a special on large bottles of Vodka if you are ever in need...just sayin.

::Love Buy-Rite. Small store with a great selection and reasonable prices for the city. You can find surprises like Yamazaki whiskey at times. Friendly and helpful staff and frequent free samples of new products.

::With a wide selection of cheap liquor, this is a regular stop on my commute. They also have fine wine. If you bring fido, ask for a dog biscuit at the checkout counter.
