  Fork-tender BBQ beef brisket was only marred by not enough BBQ and dry naked potatoes. The service excellent, the portions generous, the desserts were delicious, and they have a piano player in the evenings while wait staff sings! Truly a memorable experience, and well-worth their reasonable prices.

  Loved this crisp clean place! Food excellent! Service like you were part of the family...including teasing, smiles, and warmth! We were rained in there as travellers from far away one afternoon. We had come to town for our brothers funeral. They loved and cared and shared with us there! Sitting at the bar was healing. The patrons (some regulars) were interesting and engaging, and the banter was witty and had the spark of life! Wish I didn't live so far away!

  Max's is the Best! I really love this place. Awesome food. Huge menu. Piono player. Singing waiters. Great bar. Best deserts in town. Casual but classy atmosphere. No reason not to go here.

  My daughter and I ate here after seeing the Nutcracker. The bartender was very knowledgeable and engaged her guests without hovering. The food was excellent; best steak I've had since moving from Texas. It was quite busy - definitely make a reservation it you'll end up sitting at the bar. Pricy, but well worth it.

  Great diner-style cafe with super friendly staff and good food all around. I'd say their highlights are definitely their cakes. Try the triple layer chocolate + chocolate mousse + cheesecake if you can, and you won't regret it! They don't have much vegetarian options, but they were happy to accommodate us by switching side orders or customizing the plate, thank you for that!
