  We come to this location a few times a year and we normally have a great experience. We came in today 1/16/2023 and played in the arcade like we normally do. There were a few issues with a few games but they gave us the credit back. The problem is when we were finished. My son was trying to get enough tickets for a specific prize but didn’t make it so he picked a basketball goal that hangs on the door and a Whoopie cushion. I noticed that the plastic wrapping on the goal was torn slightly but didn’t think anything of it. We got to the parking lot, in the vehicle and my son realized that the goal (rim and backboard) were broken, there was something sticky on the ball, and it looks like part of the plastic backboard is melted. My son took the basketball goal in and explained everything to the person working the arcade and he was told “well it wasn’t broken we I gave it to you”, which is completely false because it was never dropped or taken out of the package. I know it’s cheap prizes but that means they’re not loosing anything if they made this right and gave him one that wasn’t broken. We were contacted by the owner and he asked that we come back and exchange it for a new one. We went this evening 1/21/2023 and manager Cameron wasn’t there but Mike took care of us and made it right. Thank you, I will change the review.

  Hadn’t been back since all the changes. It’s nice to see the place changing for the better. It’s always been a fun safe environment for all walks of life. Young people to the more mature crowd. Drew was assisting the bartender on staff during peak hours and was very helpful and friendly. Not only with us but also with the staff. I totally recommend this place and will go back again.

  Took my daughter and her friends here for her birthday. She turned 15 and didn't want anything too crazy. An older bowling ally for sure. Food is a bit pricey, but let's be honest, that's their best chance to make some significant money. So, I don't mind supporting the establishment. The people were helpful and my kids from 7-17 all had fun. The gaming area is a bit of an afterthought. Not great but not horrible. Only a few really fun games there. Worth spending for a few $20 cards for the kids to play. Restrooms were clean and food was good. You're in a bowling alley, not fine dining. So, everything met my expectations. I will happily go back with just me and my wife or take my kids.

  Signed up for the kids bowl free program for this summer, nice facility, the staffs were very nice, we couldn't locate the lightest bowling ball for my child, but the gentlemen custodian came to us and gave us one, super nice guy. We had fun.

  I promised a birthday party to my son turning 13 and he chose Max Bowl Baytown “because, Dad, they have Laser Tag!” When I started to read the reviews (which had me thinking we would arrive at a smelly, hot, sticky, poorly run place with a surly coordinator and everyone would have a bad time), I was hesitant and tried to talk him out of it. His face sank, so I called Max Bowl — admittedly, reluctantly — and began to plan. What we got the day of the party was a pleasant surprise: We walked in to a very clean, bright, nice-looking, very well air-conditioned place. Our coordinator arrived almost as soon as I let them know we were there, and he shared the proposed schedule with us (no one objected), and he was with us for every activity transition and stayed nearby me most of the time, reminding us what was next, and returned almost immediately after each special request (mostly requests of water for the adults and kids who didn’t want soda). Our Party Room was also well air-conditioned and had very clean tables and chairs and a lockable glass door which they locked and opened quickly upon request (as opposed to other places I’ve been that have just an opening for a door where anyone could walk in), so the other parents were free to watch and interact with our kids without having to have one of our own crew on guard over the cake and gifts. We did the Maxed Out Party with an extra game of laser tag for the 2 1/2 hours we scheduled, I think we went 5 minutes over, and that was mainly getting the kids out of their Skywalk harnesses. I asked the boys if there were any problems with anything, and the only thing was one kid of the 8 with us couldn’t figure out his laser gun controls his first time through, but had it down for the second laser tag session. I was relieved that there were no complaints from the party participants nor parents. After the coordinator-guided party was officially over, we handed out the included arcade cards, which extended the gathering another 30-45 minutes. The biggest hold-up was my own in the making: I waited until the kids were almost done trading in their tickets/points for prizes to get in line to pay at the main desk, and the only delay there was waiting for another family in line in front of me to gather multiple payment methods. The desk person said the coordinator would be happy with the 15% tip (which I calculated from the base price of the party package; not the price after the fee). Max Bowl Baytown has a lovely, clean facility and their friendly staff ran a tight ship and explained calmly and professionally each time I got a little antsy about the schedule. They aren’t right off the freeway but they were definitely worth the drive. We’ll be back to use up the rest of our arcade cards and bowl again. My son and his friends had a great time and all the parents were impressed, especially me. Worth every penny; highly recommend!
