The public is absolutely right about the bums hanging around loitering they may be harmless but it sure is uncomfortable bringing my children around. And this is our neighborhood community park someone/the law or the Phoenix park recreation center should take action. This has been like this for years now come on now it's getting ridiculous.

*Update* Since I wrote my first review about this park I’ve seen the city chase off the homeless and druggies twice...and then promptly give up. Since then I’ve witnessed a druggie shooting up while sitting at the picnic tables and many more druggies move in. They have taken over the park. They are constantly starting fires..I’ve even seen them start a fire on the cement between the picnic tables...where they all live. This place feels like it’s a goner. They have just moved in and completely taken over. It was nice the two days the city chased them all off, but if they aren’t consistently doing that, it’s a loosing battle. What a shame. *This park would be so much better if there were not so many homeless and sketchy people literally living and sleeping there. I witnessed a homeless person, who was using the children's jungle gym/playground equipment as his bed (has been for weeks if not months) get up from his make shift bed and urinate directly on the playground equipment. Children play there and this person is using it as his bed AND bathroom. I would not ever take a child there. Half of the lights are out around the park..like pitch black out...which probably makes it inviting to the homeless and druggies. Besides the unsavory element the park would be a great place to go. I wish they would clean it up, light it up and get rid of the people living there.

There's always a gang of homeless people in the Ramada..there's two schools in the same lot, the community center and the library too so its a bit concerning that there are always a bunch of homeless men at this park when its meant to be a place for children and families. Its a nice place just wouldnt be there alone ever.

Not a kid friendly park due to many people (homeless perhaps) hanging out all around the park. Stay away does not look safe to bring kids here.
