  This review is so long overdue. My husband and I moved from Tucson last fall and I kept saying that I would write this, but the words evaded me. I just don't know how to express my gratitude for Dr. Martin, so I'll try to keep this brief. Dr. Shelly Martin is probably the best vet I will ever have had the privilege of knowing. First of all, she is extremely intelligent. When she doesn't know something, she's not afraid to tell you that she doesn't know and she works diligently to find out via other resources. She loves animals and it shows. She never once made us feel rushed or that we were wasting her time. She always approached our dog confidently and with care. Most importantly, she NEVER "nickle and dimed" us. The charges were always discussed and we were never overcharged for a single service. Throughout the course of our time in Tucson, our dog, Oakley, experienced a number of health issues. Each and every time, Dr Martin went above and beyond to explain the current situation and the possible courses of action. Her demeanor was always professional and calming. In a world where we've all become a number, Dr. Martin is someone who remembers you, your pet and what's going on with your pet. Her staff is friendly, her waiting room is always clean and inviting and the wait times are never excessive. In my opinion, finding a quality vet is extremely difficult. Dr. Martin and Adobe Veterinary Center are what I miss the most about our move from Tucson. If you live anywhere in Tucson, believe me, it's worth the drive to see her.
