::This is an UN-FRIENDLY food court service against Taiwanese. I was there today. I requested an additional foam cup for my soybean milk but was refused. The service lady claimed she can only give two, following the store's rule. Though unpleasant, I left the casher counter, yet she continued to murmur. I was unable to listen to what she was murmuring but clearly recognized "...Taiwanese..." for number times. I went back to the counter, changeling her that there was NONE all about "Taiwanese". She then said in Chinese: "I am not afraid of you even you want to kill me". What? I had never threatened to hurt anybody. I told her to be better careful of her language or I can sue her or the store as she seemingly insulted Taiwanese at no point. She replied to me, in Chinese: "Go on to sue me, Go on to sue the store...". I ended this unpleasant conversation and left. I later reported the event to the store manager, but she seemed not to take it serious and cold-bloodedly said she will talk to the food court manager. Helpless, I can only reluctantly left the store and told myself not to visit this store again. They might not care about my business at all. Yet, I felt I need to share my experience. Also, what still not understood by me was that why Taiwanese was innocently rolled into a customer vs serviceman’s confrontation and therein became a target of insultation.

::Great asian grocery to find a large variety of items - especially the fresh and live seafood, lots of fruit and vegetable selections, as well as refrigerated or frozen food. There is a selection of cooking appliances and utensils. Plenty of parking in the lot in front of the grocery.

::Marina food was one of the only two Chinese grocery stores in the South Bay back in the nineties. Over the years it has not been catching up with the competition. It is dirtier and darker. And the prices are not any better. There is a deli with many tables. A friend of mine likes to come here to get their Chinese fried donuts which seem to sell out easily.

::This supermarket is not as clean as other choices (H Mart and 99 Ranch) in the area. Some items prices might be better but the shopping experience is not good. The meat and seafood section is dark and soaking wet. The freshness of some frozen food items is suspect because one can feel that some frozen items newly displayed are soft, indicating it had not been kept frozen before. The staff is between indifferent and rude. Restrooms are dirty. Not a top choice for Asian groceries in the area.

::The Chinese vegetables are fresh most days. The fresh seafood selection has a good variety, at an affordable price. They stuff every open space in the market, so getting around is a hassle. Expect the market to be a few degrees colder than outside as they don't turn on heat. Go for the convenience. If you have time H-mart is close by and much better.
