::One, the experienced teacher in our child's classroom left, to be replaced by one brand-new to teaching and an assistant with even less experience and no training. Two, our child has not been challenged in his room for months. There is no apparent prospect of his moving up. We have seen zero communication regarding promotion. Three, six months ago the school enrolled a special needs child in our child's class. This campus has no special needs program. Consequently, our son now mimics some of this other child's unfortunate behaviors. Four, the school's physical plant has never been a strong suit. Its rooms are small and dark, and its access to the outside is minimal. Five, we discussed many of these issues with the staff three months ago. Nothing has improved, or even changed. Six, we are paying $23,000 a year. Moving him to a better school with the addition of hot meals provided will cost us 20% less. Our only regret is that we did not move our son sooner. (the above is a cut and paste of my 'why we do not recommend' answer to the Bright Horizons recent parents survey)
