  Just a few blocks away from my house, Everything is always fresh, they have a wide variety of spices that you sometimes can't find in grocery stores, I come here for my vegetables and fresh fruit

  This place Is amazing and a food alternative to have instead of fast food located in west Oakland. You can get some good healthy plates already made... and they are bringing back the fresh cooked meals on some fridays

  The atmosphere, the people, and the entire experience of shopping here is so special . You don't get this anywhere else , you can tell this place was conceived in pure love for the Phoencian, Nubian communities that are now thriving world wide due to the next level organization we are moving out of !   Mandela's is the best! First, always friendly people. Then, always fresh produce. THEN, NICE PEOPLE AGAIN! Community spots are awesome for so many reasons. If you live close then please visit this spot! West Oakland needs Mandela!

  They pack all the bare necessities and then some !! They even have a well stocked bulk fill section with herbs, spices, and nuts. Better quality food than the target and grocery chain next to me and their prices are decent. Happy customer, thank you!
