Basic menu, basic food. Really over priced for the menu options. $5 for a bowl of soup, really? The wait staff is barely friendly. Who still offers liver and onions for a daily special? This place. The straws weren't wrapped in paper which makes me guess they have this bin of straws that they just grab them from. I had chicken tortilla soup. It would have been just ok, but the tomatoes they put in the soup were way beyond ripe and that $5 bowl of soup sat in my stomach like a bag of rocks. I'm not willing to try this place again.

I absolutely love their blueberry pancakes. If you order the 3-stack, better be hungry. I ordered the 2x2x2 which is 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and 2 pieces of bacon. added coffee and the meal was huge and less than $12. Although I arrived at a slow time of day the service was very fast and friendly.

Really enjoyed my first visit. Rob took care of us and he was a very cool guy, great conversation. Got the meatloaf and as always I ate before I could photo the food. The mac and cheese side could have been a little better. And dessert at a diner is a must with cheesecake! Go swing through.

I got some awesome take out from here this morning! I hadn't eaten here in so long, but they are still just as good as I remember; consistency is a lot to ask for from a restaurant now-a-days, but Mama's cafe nails it every time for me and mine. My server, Xochitil, was so pleasant and our to-go order was put together very well. No spills en route either!

I used to really enjoy going for breakfast at Mama's but over the last two months something has changed. The wait staff is constantly changing and seems like it takes a long time for your food to arrive almost as if they had to wait for the grill to warm up. And frequently you see a lot of plates ready for customers sitting under heat lamps not working for quite awhile. They used to have great quick service. I'm just not sure if we'll be back.
