  Recently my Mom & I made a trip up to NYC. Since this was her first time in the city, I wanted to do something epic .. or at least memorable. But what? How about a "New York Makeover Experience?" Yep, that's the ticket! So we got her set up with a haircut & color, shopped for new clothes / accessories .. but her favorite part hands down was the 3-hour instructional makeup session with Lorin. I recall she was slightly skeptical at first asking "what on earth could we possibly talk about for three hours?" Well the hours passed quickly as Lorin asked initial questions to determine exactly what she wanted and then demonstrated proper techniques and had Mom repeat until gaining proficiency. At the end of the session Mom received a list of recommended products designed to replicate the day's results. This has proven to be a "gift that keeps on giving" as it has completely changed my Mom's daily approach to putting on makeup for a truly clean natural look. Lorin is a true professional and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience - Thanks again Lorin!

  Lorin is the best makeup artist you're ever going to find in NYC. That sounds like an exaggeration, but she is just so amazing. She's a lovely person to spend your "get ready time" with, plus she is an utter perfectionist. I've used Lorin for my 10th Anniversary Party--for which she gave me full bridal makeup--plus about 5 different benefit events and parties. Each time, she creates a look that is perfect for my wardrobe and the event. Sometimes, I show her a picture of a celebrity and she adapts the look to my face. Sometimes, I show her my dress and tell her where I'm going, and she suggests a look. No matter what, she always makes me look better than I ever thought possible. I cannot recommend Lorin highly enough!!

  Lorin is great! Very thorough, thoughtful, and an expert. She shared a lot of tips and was very patient.

  Lorin was amazing, professional , witty and so talented. Her passion for art really showed with what she did with our Halloween makeup . We were constantly stopped and complimented. Thank you Lorin it was such a pleasure working with you -Dianne

  I would like to start this review by simply thanking Lorin Cole for her wonderful makeup lesson that she had given me. As a new makeup artist I believe that keeping yourself current and educated is very important. Lorin Cole is someone that I have always admired, her work absolutely blows me away. Her eyebrow application is one of the best that I have ever seen. I have never seen anyone do eyebrows like Lorin, I have to say she makes you think out of the box when it comes to makeup. I recently completed a makeup course which makes me already have a base with applying makeup and understanding it as well but her techniques are different than any other makeup artist that I know of and that is what makes her unique. Lorin was very patient and even extended her time with me to make sure I understood her completely. The fact that I have a background in makeup already , I highly recommend Lorin Cole , she is very talented and creative not to mention she is a genuinely sweet person. Thank you again Lorin Cole.
