  I really like their Alfani brand. Store was clean, staff was helpful and selection is of course great.

  They are in great location. They have almot everything. You can furnish your apartment, fill up your wardrobe, get things for your kitchen, buy shoes, jewelry and whatever else you might need. The prices are prety good especially when things are on sell. not as big as the one inPentagon City so they have less things but they staff can order for you.

  This location is understaffed for sure. Many areas are very cluttered/disorganized (especially in the clearance area). Seems like once those clearance items are there no employee takes care of organizing it anymore. The shoe department had one employee to serve clients, bring out other sizes and have them pay. He was polite and patient but didn't offer any extra help. My overall experience was fine but I was surprised in how employee do not great clients. Only one gentlemen did on the third floor and even told.me that if I did need any help to find him at the cash where he was when I've arrived to the third floor. I've myself worked in a store similar to Macy's and we had to give eye contact with customers if they were far and smile/say hello to them if we were close to them and ask if they needed help or were looking for something specific, etc.

  This Macy's has little selection and slow, minimal staff. Being the nearest Macy's near me, I thought this branch was representative of the entire chain until I went and saw a few others. Many departments of this store are often deserted and dirty. If you're buying clothing, for example, you'll have to wander quite a while before finding someone to help you out. On the other hand, the store has quite a bit of selection when it comes to clothing and other home appliances.

  We purchased a platform bed on March 23 from Garrett Perry at the Ballston store. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and very friendly. No sales pressure, lots of good information, and a quick transaction. It is difficult to comparison shop (the model name and number used by one retailer is rarely the same as that of a competing retailer, but this is not unique to Macy's; seems they all do it), but we did look at what seemed to be comparable platform beds from other suppliers and the Macy's price was similar to others. The delivery was also an excellent experience. Juan called before arriving (and arrived within the time window provided), and he quickly assembled the bed and helped us inspect the merchandise. He was very pleasant and informative. This is not our first large home purchase at Macy's of Ballston, and we have always had a good experience.
