  Everyone was awesome my appointment was with Emilie she took a picture I had for reference and walked me through it to give me something that would work well for me.

  First, I just want to say that I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the people. Every single person was so sweet and welcoming. I had never gotten my hair colored before but wanted to try something different. After looking at the reviews I decided with this place :). Why I gave it 3 stars: I had a consultation on Thursday and showed her a picture of what I wanted. I said I wanted alburn highlights and as it got lower to the ends to make it a little lighter. She referred to that as Bayalage. I went home and googled Bayalage and the picture of what I asked for popped up so a I figured it was what I wanted. Saturday I got to the salon and she looked at the picture again to refresh her memory. She explained to me that she was going to lighten my hair at the ends. I thought perfect, because as the highlights went down I wanted it a little lighter. I started to get concerned because she was lightening the entire lower half BUT since I had never had it done before I figured she knew what she was doing. When I was done my hair was a bright red. There were very few highlights at the top but the bottom half was completely red . She had another customer and I’m shy so I didn’t say anything and left. It was absolutely beautiful and I recieved so many compliments BUT was very different from what I asked for. Once I got home I noticed a few spots where my hair didn’t take the color and was a copper orangy color so I decided to just call them. They were sooooo sweet and scheduled an appointment right away. When I went back I told her my concerns about it being such a bright red. She made it a much darker color but instead of a dark alburn color it seemed more brownish. It was closer to the color from what I initially wanted so I was satisfied. I was a little bummed because I didnt get the highlights I wanted and my bottom half was all one color BUT i’m 100% certain if I called back and really explained what I asked for and what a I recieved they would have definitely fixed it I just didn’t want to keep bothering them. A few weeks later I just went to Sallys and got a $6 deep alburn red coloring kit and just colored it myself and it was perfect :) I would still recommend this place because of how great everyone was. I was able to post a picture of what a I asked for, what a I recieved and then the fixed one:). A lot of people loved the bright red color and said they have had a such a hard time getting it to that color of red. :)

  I needed some new life in my hair while I let it grow long again. Stephen made it happen with long layers and side bangs. I’ve been coming to Lure for years and always leave feeling great about my hair. Thanks, friends!
