  Great local hardware store. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back.

  Lumber Boys is owned and ran by a family who cares a lot about what they do. They are passionate about the store and constantly get out of their way to help their customers. I personally witnessed them "selling" items "on credit" to complete strangers a few times, who just walked out of the store with free stuff promising to return later and pay for it. The owners pay equal attention to customers who spend $3 and those who spend $300. It is an extremely challenging line of business: running a small business in the city with unions and conglomerate companies is a struggle on its own. However, I do hope Lumber Boys will manage to stay in business and flourish for years to come.

  Needed to get flat aluminum bar cut. The few Home Depots I visited wouldn't do it and after searching around, I found Lumber Boys who said they could do it. They botched the job (bent the aluminum, cut it crooked, and even LOST one of the pieces!) and then had the nerve to charge me for it! I had to go buy more aluminum bar to finish my project. It was a waste of time and money (I guess the price for learning never to come back here again?). Fortunately I found Nuthouse just nine blocks away who did the work both quickly, professionally, and cleanly!

  Absolutely the best go to place for all your custom cut wood needs, I've built desks, tables, bookshelves, closets, and couldn't do it without my Lumber Boys! They're great to work with. They also offer free delivery on larger orders and their drivers have always been timely and very helpful. Great prices too!
