If you dont live here, your lucky. If you do then you know there have been four shootings in Feb alone. three right here, one on the block and more if include the past 6 month. This awesome location has recently been on Washingtons most wanted, there are three handy drugs dealers in the building for your convenience, the handy gentlemen outside with the dreadlocks is available after dark in case you cant get in or climb the fire escape. You could just stand in the alley and yell for Mark also, no one will stop you. If you do make it inside, there are a few locations in the stair wells where you can use your drugs and even sleep for awhile, ask your drug dealer for directions before you leave, and yes, shopping carts are allowed. There is now security on-site, they can be found sleeping in the office, in a car near by or happily sitting among the nightly guest on the steps. Look for the words Security on their shirt. If you are shot, robbed or otherwise, please crawl to the nearest entrance. Security is only paid to watch unless you can make it to one of the entrances before you scream for help. For the persons committing a crime, feel free to wave at security and say thank you, they will not stop you and are not paid to care. There are no cash machines on site but there are 10 laundry rooms to break into for your convenience, please bring your own tools and take your time escaping down the nearest fire escape. No reservations needed

Yes we all know Pioneer Square is not the safest area at night, due to alot of bars and homeless shelter's in the area. I'm writing this in regards to the staff and the building itself. The building is old, has history that spans back to the old Seattle 1800's. It does have some wear and age to the interior, but overall I've seen much worse. I've lived here for many years, and the current staff we have working for the building are fantastic! They are not only knowledgeable about their particular job titles, but also friendly and professional. I am very pleased with the changes they have been making towards safety, repairs, and complaints. They actually take the time to think about the best possible outcomes before engaging any further in what needs to be done. They are thorough, and get the issues taken care of in a timely manner. I am so glad we have the crew we have right now. I was considering moving, but because of the staff we have currently, I signed for another year! Thank you for the fantastic job you ladies/gentleman are doing!! Keep it up!!

My boyfriend and I moved into here without actually seeing the apartment because we were desperate and the rent was cheap. The apartments are all studios. Luckily, the apartment itself is fine. We never hear the neighbors. However, there are constantly people breaking into the building (homeless people). They also loiter around the entryway 24/7. If you live on the side of the building with the fire escape, beware. Random people will climb up it to try to break in to your apartment or the fire escape door. The garbage men come into the alley at least 4 times a night, starting at 11 PM. Homeless people scream all night. I agree with the comment about constant bum wars. If you are a woman, prepare for constant harassment, and beware of going out after dark! The manager, Tracy, was very accommodating until we had signed the lease...then she transformed. She is condescending to everyone and if you have to retrieve a package from the office, she treats you like you are the scum of the earth. Another thing about Tracy is that she will nickle and dime you and try to screw you over for extra money. One month, our check did not go through, and we received a notice on the Friday evening of a 3-day weekend that we would be evicted in three days if we did not pay our rent. Of course, the office would be closed for all of those days.We contacted the bank and got a written statement from them saying that Lowman Building never requested to withdraw money from our account that month, so we contacted the lady above Tracy, and she allowed us to pay our rent that following Tuesday. The next week, Tracy told us that we owed a late fee of $150, after her supervisor had said that Lowman Building was to blame for the error and that we would be credited. It took 3 months to receive the credit after constantly reminding Tracy. Teddy, the maintenance man, lives on floor ten. Don't let appearances deceive you. He may look rough on the outside, but he is the sweetest and will do anything he can to help you out. He cares very much about the security of the building and isn't upset if you need to contact him in the middle of the night due to security or sound issues. I have only had a couple of maintenance requests, and they were all completed fairly quickly. After a year, we are moving to a safer and quieter area. I wouldn't recommend moving to Lowman unless you have to.

Full of people who drink, smoke cigarettes, and lots of suffering and tragic death. Surrounded by homeless and rats. Bad air. Dangerously stupid creepy guy works in office. Low rent. Young people trying to survive in the clusterheap we built for them. Humans. Recommendation: Avoid.
