It's A Big Box Home Improvement store, pretty much as one would expect. There's nothing exceptional about it. I couldn't find a small can of WD-40, but then they probably don't have much of a call for the 4oz spray can. They have plenty of larger and even huge sizes and bundled in 2 to 4 packs. I will say that over the past 2 or 3 years the house plants they sell have been a vast improvement, and at really bargain prices, this is the main reason for the 4-stars I give them.

This place is horrible. Itā€™s almost impossible to get any help without walking across the entire store to get it. Then you are lucky if that person has a clue. Most of the stuff I purchase here falls apart or deteriorates within a couple months. For example I bought a ā€œneverleaksā€ water hose storage box less than a year ago. Itā€™s literally collapsing inside and wouldnā€™t unreel my hose. Iā€™ve injured my wrist trying to use it and they wouldnā€™t take it back once I got the hose off. Donā€™t shop here and if you have to be very smart about what you purchase.

I was shopping for plants and soil for my garden. I couldn't find any inpatients, which are a very common annual. I asked a person at the Garden Center register, who didn't even know what they are. I asked him if he knew anything about plants, and he said, "A little." It was also difficult to determine their process for purchasing bags of compost and garden soil; did I load them onto a cart and then pay, or pay and have someone load the bags into my car? It was a frustrating experience. I think I will go to actual plant and flower stores for knowledgeable, professional service and good plant selection in the future.

Lowe's has all the basics needed for home repairs, handyman projects and construction. They carry just about everything, but generally don't have have a great selection of anything. Specialty stores will have better selections, but if it's the basics you are after, Lowe's is great.
