  First, I love Lowes. It has been my go to store for everything. Until now. We moved to Brooklyn from Omaha Nebraska and I cannot believe how awful this store is. The check out clerks are rude, the shelves are mislabeled, and the lines are long. Last time we were in the store, the checkout clerk barked orders at us as if we were animals following her commands. Three strong men stood in the aisle watching me (a small 62 year old woman) carry a heavy box to customer service as they pointed me toward the counter. The check out person at self-checkout literally kicked us out of the aisle because we had a large item to scan. Horrible place.

  Well, it's a clean, well-organized store, and it's generally well-stocked, but sometimes they don't have basic things you would expect to be able to find at such a big store. Also, finding knowledgeable help can be a challenge, and it can take a while to get an accurate answer. We have wasted several trips. We went to pick up a fan we had ordered on the internet and, not knowing where to go, I assumed I should go to customer service, where I waited many minutes for someone to even acknowledge my presence. I was then curtly told to go to the far entrance where pickup is, but there was no signage inside the store, so I had to ask another person where to go. The entrance to the pickup area turns out to be outside, which I would never have known, because why would I think to look for a separate entrance??? Three stars because I never know if I'm going to find what I want or someone to ask about it.

  You can be sent to every different department for same item and service people just avoid you. I bought a vanity, it was missing handles. Manager finally cam to terms and nothing happened. Two weeks later still nothing in the mail. Waiting to buy a shed for forty five min. Still nobody. This is why Amazon is rocking it. Manager is insanely rude There is similar store around corner that is better

  Stopped by with my husband and liked it very much. The flower and plant section is packed with nice variation of plants, small and big. Also they have nice home improvement magazines by the cashiers and I bought some cleaning supplies, soap, sponges etc. This place is not just for guys but for women too. Had great time there. Recommend it.

  Tried to buy a grill, asked 4 separate people for help and no one seemed to want to make the sale. Customer service called associate 4 times over loud speaker, they never came. We waited over a half an hour while the store was fairly quiet. The manager was definitely going to try to help but we were pretty set on getting out of there at that point. I was just kind of confused. So we left. Never got the grill. Bought one at Home Depot, it’s awesome.
