Bigger than the city parks and has good features for the area. A variety of dogs and activity levels are catered here.

Great dog park for large dogs and has a separate area for small and shy dogs as of March 2018. I find my 20 pound dogs are usually fine in the big area, although puppies often get picked on. The small dog area is good for puppies or small / shy dogs. It's a large, shady space covered with gravel to cut down on mud and drainage is good. There's a really nice hill in the middle with water for drinking and it makes visibility / chucking tennis balls from the nearby tennis courts very easy (bring your chuck-it!) The surrounding site also has lots of nice paths so if the park isn't working out you have escape options. The reason it's 4 stars and not 5 stars is that it's getting overcrowded and it's the fault of Seattle Parks. When adding the small dog park to Woodland park they carved it out of the big dog park instead of adding on new space to the side. When I called and asked why they were doing that they said they simply have a policy to not add any new dog park space, which sounds to me like a really lazy rule on their part. Seattle Parks really needs to take on the controversy of adding dog park space and ticketing unleashed dogs outside of dog parks.

The park is well built and cared for. It is quite large. My complaint is not with the park itself, but the dog owners. Dogs are not properly trained and socialized therefore fights, bites, and bad behavior occur. It’s not worth your time if you’re worried about your dog’s well being.

This is quite a small dog park, it has a bit of a hill and a mini loop the dogs can run up and down. But I must say there arnt too many things here. The park itself is primarily covered by trees so is nice is summer but a bit cold in winter. You may find some poo bags here but as always best to bring your own. Also there is only one open trash bin that is along the fence near the carpark.

This simple dog park tucked away in the Woodland Park is always busy and always has plentiful extra tennis balls, water bowls, and many trees. It's not too big but if you want to run your pup, it's not a bad place to do so.
