  Every time I visit a casual diner I often get the house burger to set the stage for future visits. Why? Because of your restaurant can't get a simple burger done right, why would I expect the rest of the menu to be any good? Their burger was good. It was called at a good temperature, it had leave and tomato. I didn't think they reheated any part of it. The bun was really good. I expect my future visits to inform me if I should give my full recommendation or not.

  This place had some great reviews, but it didn't live up to it's rating. We ordered the french toast with bacon and two sides of eggs over medium. The eggs were cooked perfectly over medium, unfortunately they were cold. The french toast sounded so much better when reading the menu. They were hard and not as soft as we hoped. The best meal we had were the chocolate chip pancakes. Maybe it was a bad visit, but all our food came out cold.

  My wife and I decided to try this Heights diner after googling “best chicken and waffles in Houston”. Let me say, we were not disappointed. Parking here was plentiful and we were greeted kindly as soon as we walked in. They have paper menus, as well as a large painted menu over the counter where you order. The gentleman taking our order was extremely friendly as we told him we had traveled from League City for our first visit. When our order came to our table we were both pleased with how delicious it was. The chicken was extremely moist and flavorful. The berry compote was delicious and fresh. The waffles were amazing as well. If you’re looking for some great chicken and waffles, give this place a try. But be warned, we were told that it’s packed on the weekends!

  Good and busy for brunch. The chicken and waffles is good! I am giving three stars because I ordered a burger without the buns because of dietary restriction and it came out unfortunately with a the buns glued on. They have a special soda machine with no coca cola products, which gets a bit confusing watching the older adults try to figure out which one is coke comparable...kind of inconvenient. The ceilings have cute writing. And there is a lot of outdoor seating. Staff is friendly.

  Very tasty place. Not quite what I expected in that you order at a counter and it is self serve coffee. They do however bring the food out yo you. The chicken and berry waffle was obviously all home made. The coffee was strong but not overpowering. Place is kind of small but definitely worth going to
