Not a huge size of collection, but decent enough! Printing service is outdated and super confusing. Otherwise a good place to read and study.

Dirty. Full of homeless. One toilet. Limited computers and seating. Never coming back again

Little Tokyo Library is one of the great jewels of Los Angeles. The plethora of books and magazines at this location are exceptional. I am a Japanophile and get sated with a visit. I do not go regularly because I live quite a distance but I guarantee it will be worth your while if you are in a similar position. Additionally, everyone that works here is very pleasant (unlike some of the other library branches in LA and surrounding area). You are sure to find some very interesting and unique books. Why bother you ask: this library has a decent amount of books and magazines in japanese. Even the magazines (some of the best I have ever seen) are there for your perusal. Bonus: parking is convenient for 1.5 hours (so great considering it is in the toy district and parking can be hard to find an costly).

Not the best. If you're lookin to plug in your laptop so you can work on your homework, good luck. It's like one person needs to plug in 4 things, and won't let you use the outlet. The female security guard must hate her job, because she's mean. Never smiles. When the only available outlet is in the wall, she won't let you use it, and refuses to ask a guest to share the outlet. Decent facility, but the staff (security) and guests aren't the best. Go to the LA Library. It's much bigger and better suited for studying...

What a library should aspire to be. A vibrant community space and oasis of potential. State of the art facilities, with Japanese and English collections. Super cool place in the heart of down town.
