  First it takes about a month to get an appointment. Later I had called and followed all protocols they required to better expedite service and left messages for a call back. Forward a month later and still no response and no refill and they always said the doctor or doctors assistant was not there. My pharmacy said they had declined my refill and said I needed to come back to see them. This was of course not true because I had not passed the one year mark of having to see the doctor by law. They just wanted me to come in and pay another co-pay just to refill a prescription that could have been done by phone. This is just a practice that has gotten too big for it's own good. Luckily I'v found a local dermatologist that was able to get me in the next day and gave me everything I needed!

  She was adamant regarding my diagnosis without a bx. She explained, "we see this all the time".. began to treat which was highly painful. Went to get another opinion with a bx proved her wrong. She needs to make sure and not diagnose from her other patients. Each patient is an individual

  I've been going to Dr. Ackerman for several years now and really appreciate her efficiency, friendliness and most importantly, her knowledge. I highly recommend her. The staff are great as well.

  Dr. Ackerman has been my saving grace- I had a severe case of universal alopecia and another dermatologist told me that I would have to live with it. I was referred to Dr. Ackerman and she was willing to try a combination of medicines and topical treatment and injections to try and stimulate my hair growth and I am happy to report that I now have a full head of healthy hair. She was very patient, supportive and encouraging during this process. She may take awhile to get in to see her but she is well worth the wait!!!
