Our daughter has attended this school since it opened two and a half years ago. We have been fortunate to have an amazing head teacher in my daughters classroom and some very engaged parents, but the administration does a very poor job of managing the school. Here are some examples: *Communication challenges: They decided to change the start time for our daughter's educational program from the hours printed in their materials and told us that it would start one hour earlier at a parent open house night. If we hadn't attended, we wouldn't have even known. *High teacher turnover: They do not pay their teachers well, especially for SF and we've had friends in classrooms without lead teachers for many months. *Arbitrary fees: They introduced a substantial fee for people that need to pay tuition on a monthly basis. This school costs over $30K a year! *Lack of consideration for the community: They decided to shorten the school year mid-year, but not pro-rate the tuition to reflect less school days. This is a major burden to working parents *No transparency: They refused to honor a tuition discount for third year students because of an arbitrary birthdate requirement that was not published in the school handbook. They literally made up the date and told no one. You might also consider that the small outside area is essentially a wind tunnel making it an inhospitable place for kids to play. They also have some rooms that do not have windows facing outside. For the insane amount of money these folks are charging, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere.

Love, passion, talent and care are the words that we would use to describe LePort. Our child has been attending LePort since their opening and they continue to amaze us on an ongoing basis. LePort has become a family now; there is nothing that we would say oh maybe they could do it this way, there couldn't be a better group of people who understands children's development better than these beautiful teachers at LePort. If you are looking for a wonderful environment for your child to be part of, stop looking and call LePort. Once you have the opportunity to speak with Ms. Domingo or Ms. Little, you would know what we are talking about. We love love love LePort and we will be forever grateful to Dr. LePort for creating such a wonderful environment

My wife and I enrolled our 3-year-old in LePort's program before the school had even opened. It was clear from the very first meeting of LePort staff that this school was different than the others we had seen. There was a professionalism and customer-care orientation which you expect from any well run business, but there was also a genuine passion for children and education that you typically only find with small owner-run schools. It's the combination of the two that won us over. It's been 6 months now since our son has been part of the LePort program and it has exceeded our expectations. Part of this was the value of the Montessori curriculum--I was somewhat familiar with Montessori prior to our enrollment, but now that I have come to fully understand what makes this educational approach so unique, I cannot imagine anything else for my child. But the other part of what has made the program so exceptional is everything LePort brings to it. Our son's teacher (Zoe), the head of school (Erin), the front office staff--everyone I've ever dealt with has given 100% and cared deeply about whatever I was discussing at the time. This school is filled with people who have a passion for education. I cannot imagine my son at any other school. Oh, and the facilities as well are top notch. It's a beautiful school. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention that there have been issues. The school opened late because of construction delays, there have been some small enrollment mixups, there were some drop-off logistics issues early on, and a host of small things I've had to bring up to staff. But every single time something has come up, the issues are taken seriously and everyone goes above and beyond to make things right. That's what makes this school so special.
