As a former student (graduated last year), I have to say I'm truly disappointed in Lanier Middle School. Not only were students doing drugs and vaping but students were also engaging in sexual acts with staff (under administrator's noses). Students would address other students with racial slurs in front of teachers too. Lanier middle school might give you a semi-good education but there's so many cons at this school. I truly believe if you want your child to become a lost cause, go ahead and choose Lanier Middle School.

I was class of 2015 and attending Lanier Middle School was such an honor. The staff was absolutely always there for the students and the student body are so friendly. Especially the theatre program. absolutely amazing. Lanier was just an overall great experience and I am a proud alum! Go Purple Pups!

Dear Reader ***After reading all the negative comments come to this review and I have pointed out all of the lies. These are mostly just parents that are assuming things without having attended the school. I am a 8th grader at this time and have a good idea of what goes on at this school*** I disagree with all of the people giving this school a one star. Lets start with Tamara Shelton. Her whole review is based on the first 2 days of her daughters school year. She claims that her daughter couldn't get a ID badge. As far as I know there is a date set up before school starts for you to go get your ID and it is your responsibility to take your child to be prepared and if you cant you have to get a ID the alternative way. The first week of school is busy and administrators have to focus on every student not just your child. (she didn't have her schedule done because she was re-enrolled) Dear RM whoever you are first of all learn how to spell. You are a parent and should not be making typos in these types of reviews. I was in the same school year as your child. I do not know who he or she is but during this year children had been modifying their lockers to be able to open it without code and that is probably why things were stolen from your child locker. Or maybe she shared her locker combo with someone. Since was a student during the ID "crisis" i got to learn why they did this. They year before high school students had snuck into the school with their previous Lanier clothing. The reason why teachers count homework late if it is turned in at the end of class instead of beginning is because your child could have done it during class as for it being late. (and you said your daughter has been bullying not bullied so I do not see how that is the schools problem) Jenna Redmond teachers do not tolerate bullying at all. I have seen few cases of bullying and they have ended up with consequences that the bully deserved such as detention, parent contact, and suspension. All of the other things you have said are simply not true and I am pretty sure you have some sort of bias toward this school which does not help in this review section.

My Daughter just transferred to this school.Awful experience, from the get go. The attendance ladies are rude and very unhelpful. A poor kid had a fever and was sent back to class, because the nurse was absent. Spent two hours in the office to enroll her. Next day, we show up and they didn't have her schedule done. Then she finally got a schedule and needed an id badge and locker. Second day of school, no id badge. Mimi Lee, in the main office said "she has to go in the cafateria and find the police officer and ask him". So my Daughter did that yesterday and had a pass from the officer and Ms. Mya accused my Daughter and her new friend whom was helping her that they forged the signature and they were counted as absent. My Daughter, still had no locker! I have been patient and at this point" DONE! It is not the child's responsibility to know all of this. Just ridiculous! About to home school her! Not happy with this school. Left messages with the main office and the asst principal Brandi Gosnay. Still no phone call. I am so upset and this school sucks!
