Have lived here a little over a year. It is a good price point for this neighborhood, but with that said you get what you pay for. It is an older building with newely renmovated apartments (meaning the kitchen and floors have been redone). If on a lower floor, noises can be quite loud from neighbors above. But it is by no means a party apartment. Everyone who lives here is nice, and the management understands how life can get sometimes when it comes to rent so for that I am very thankful. So that is a plus. The lot is sometimes not plowed but I have never had any issues getting out with my sedan. They do mandatory curb-to-curb plowing each time it snows more than 5-6 inches. Pet friendly, first come first serve parking for no additional cost with ample street parking within 1 block if the lot is full. Close to transit and Lake Harriet. A great place for a 1st apartment, or someone who doesn't mind neighbors who are also respectful. Overall would recommend especially for the Linden Hills neighborhood, you can't beat the price.

I have lived here for a few years now, and can confidently say I am not at all impressed. The maintenance staff is rude, lazy, and disrespectful. This complex lacks overall communication and communicate by posting petty signs, and do not return calls or respond to maintenance requests. We have put in the same maintenance request numerous times and have yet to see anything fixed. The man who does the maintenance, Dave, is also extremely rude and almost makes you feel uncomfortable, so I would not even feel comfortable having him in our apartment when no one is home. He also likes to make up rules and tell them to you when this is documented nowhere in the lease or on one of his petty signs. Just last summer he randomly restricted a part of the parking lot during the day and told me to move my car when numerous other cars were parked in the same area. He lacks basic social skills like the cleaning lady. Steve was great and got things done, but he is rarely seen anymore since rude Dave now dos most of the maintenance. The building claims to be dog friendly, yet the lady who does the cleaning screams and has a panic attack every time she sees a dog, and will scream at you to get the dog away when it is nowhere near her. This cleaning of the main areas is maybe done once a month by her if we’re lucky, and like their maintenance is rude and disrespectful to the residents. Also, the parking is a nightmare. They claim you need to have a parking pass to park in the lot, but walk in the lot and there are multiple cars without passes, which is not even the biggest problem. There are cars that will be parked in the lot for months and never move, like this is a storage lot. They post signs saying they will tow cars that are not moved when they plow, but this clearly is not the case, and they do not plow until multiple days after a large snowfall. Currently, there are two cars that have been parked in the lot under the basketball hoop for months that have not moved, neither of which have parking passes, which is ridiculous. The carpeting is terrible. After a couple months it begins to rip, and the bathroom ceiling looks like it is about to cave in most likely from a leak in the apartment above. Lobbies are constantly filthy and the dumpsters will be overflowing, and there is litter inside and outside that is rarely cleaned. People also smoke weed and cigarettes in the building, which you constantly smell it in common areas. The area is great and close to the lakes and in a very nice neighborhood, but this complex is awful. I cannot wait for my lease to be up so I can move away from this horrible place.

Great location, 7 min walk to the lake, plenty very close to eat, peaceful quiet neighborhood. 1 star off for the price per month costs, but everywhere in MN is more expensive for rent for some stupid reason.

Good location, terrible staff. I lived here for a year fall of 2009 to summer of 2010. Great location but you get what you pay for. Building manager was rude unhelpful and hostile I caught her son throwing things at my car and didn't even get an apology from her. Then halfway through our lease they made our building pet friendly even though it was something we didn't want, I Love animals but my roommate had serious alergies, so he had to get an expensive air purifier. Puls a neighbor upstairs got a dog that loved to run back and forth. The parking lot was poorly matained and rarely plowed one morning it was so icy I couldn't get out, even with snow tires. At the end of our lease they didn't give us our deposit back until my roommate had a lawer send them something. If your looking for a place to live I suggest you look elsewhere.

Same as scenario as previous reviewer. It's been 2 months since we moved out, and still no deposit returned. They are quite inflexible and unclear. We put our move our notice 2 days later than the 2 month period they requested, we even accomodated these people by moving our a few days before the end of the month, so that they wouldn't have a missed rent with the next tenant. Still, when I've called about our deposit, several calls I was told that it was on it's way, then that it was sent, and finally, that the manager had not sent it because we did not give them ample notice of our leaving. Not only is this unfair (to hold someone's entire deposit because of 2 days late giving notice) but also, they are not clear and upfront about what is really going on. We are glad we left, and feel completely cheated by their actions. The apartment itself is also not a "Luxury" apartment as they claim. The appliances are old, and our refrigerator was broken. The walls are paper thin -- we heard everything from the neighbor upstairs, even when he used the bathroom. Not a good place.
