I was not impressed with this hotel AT ALL. The building seems old and outdated on the inside. There is only 1 old, very small elevator, and it is very slow. My room was spacious, but it's not "nice". The restroom was gross; the toilet seat is scratched, chipped, and barely holding on to the rest of the toilet. Also, the toilet handle was loose, and it took a little extra work to flush. The water constantly drips from the faucet in the bathtub. There were long, straight, black hairs on the floor, and the floor is white, so they couldn't be missed. The shower curtain was stained, and it is too small/ short for the tub. We called room service for towels, and they told us we had to come downstairs to get them because no one else is there (it was a Friday around 8pm). The air conditioning unit makes a LOT of noise as it comes on and goes off- it rattles for a few seconds, and then it calms into a low noise. Don't waste your money!! I couldn't be payed to stay here again.

Husky pet friendly with patient, courteous staff. I only had one issue that ended in a positive customer service experience. I had only a few dollars when I ended my search for a beverage at the front desk. I was able to pay for my drinks with the card in file without a hitch! My dog also enjoyed the view.

My mother and I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. The good: Tidy, well-appointed rooms and common areas. Courteous and helpful staff. Comfortable beds with good, firm support. Excellent towels and bedding for a 3-star hotel. (Though the pillows may be *too* soft for some people.) Many of the requests and "problems" we had were quickly addressed by the staff. For instance, we asked for an additional chair so we could both sit at the large desk when we got takeout, rather than one sitting at the desk and the other on the little sofa, and they brought it really soon. They also quickly replaced our broken hair dryer (see below). Excellent location. Lovely grounds, especially for a La Quinta. Good security. Free breakfast (though don't expect anything exceptional). The bad: If you are counting on the sofa bed for one or more of your guests, I suggest reconsidering. In our room, the bed was not merely uncomfortable, but felt unstable and the bars of the frame were lopsided. It was also absurdly loud every time I moved, and that would wake my mom up. The term "suite" for the room is loose. The room was definitely large, but there was no separation between the bed area, sofa area, and desk area, which can be difficult if, for instance, you're hoping to perhaps get some work done at the desk while someone is sleeping. And with the sofa bed issue, described above, if there had been some separation it may have helped her sleep a bit better if she didn't hear me tossing and turning. Minor quibbles: One side entry door frequently had a card reader malfunction and would lock guests out. Maintenance would fix it and it would function properly until the next day, when it would fail again. The toilet flush is ridiculously loud -- if you are traveling with someone and one of you gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, the flush will wake all but the heaviest of sleepers. I could sometimes also hear the flushes from other rooms. Our hair dryer was broken and immediately after turning it on, it rattled (LOUDLY) and smoked. Fortunately, they replaced it with a brand new one as soon as we phoned. The elevators were a tiny bit scary, particularly one that made an ascent that felt and sounded very laborious.
