This Hotel was going through a renovation. Had I known this, I may have gone elsewhere. Extra $100 deposit, room was ice cold, TV 📺 was not hooked up, No refrigerator, No Microwave, loud renovation workers. No clean-as-you-go renovation workers. Like I mentioned, had I known this, I would've booked elsewhere. Was there to attend a College Graduation ceremony and Celebrate Grandson's Birthday. This was the only disappointment. We have stayed here several times before and never had a problem. I guess, call before you book a month ahead.🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Nice hotel, BUT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT ALBUQUERQUE RESIDENTS!!!! My husband and I are Albuquerque residents with a family of 5 that just need to get out of the house once in a while, especially since we go out rarely due to health concerns. We somehow stayed at this location in September with no issues and really enjoyed it. So much so that we reserved another room three months later with the anticipation of enjoying another night in each other's sole company, an extremely rare treat for the two of us. We reserved the room, paid for it, and CHECKED IN ONLINE. Then we patiently waited our turn in the lengthy line to get our keys and enjoy our time together. Only to be turned away by the desk clerk, who told us they don't rent rooms to Albuquerque residents. I think we were understandably upset, especially since we had such a pleasant stay at this hotel only three months before. Naturally, we asked to speak to the manager. After about 40 minutes of waiting to pick up our keys, being somewhat humiliatingly denied in a lobby full of other guests, the manager finally managed to make time for us about 10 minutes later. Told us they had "tried to contact us"--and hubby did have a missed call from an unknown number at 8:20am with NO VOICEMAIL. Perhaps that was them? We'll never know since the simple courtesy of leaving a message was apparently too difficult. I'll admit right here I may have cussed a little. No excuse for that, which matches up to the complete lack of apology or courtesy we got from the manager. The worst part of the experience was that if we a.) hadn't been able to book a room online in the first place because of the rule, that would have been fine (even if we did somehow manage to infiltrate in September, we would have just found another place) or b.) they had just left a simple voicemail when they (presumably, possibly?) called that morning so that we didn't actually go there and wait patiently to be turned away in front of a lobby full of other people or even c.) if we had been treated with any measure of respect or any sort of an apology. I was embarrassed and disappointed and I acted like I really never act and, although I regret acting out upon those feelings, that regret in no way diminishes how truly awfully we were treated by an establishment that we had stayed at with great results from a chain that we have always enjoyed patronizing. We'll still book with La Quinta in other places, but that was a really terrible experience.

.This was a nice place to stay considering it was last minute. The rooms were clean and we liked the breakfast buffet. We all ate then went swimming. The only thing was the hot tub/jacuzzi was out. But the pool was heated so that was good. The stay was great.

This La Quinta has fairly large rooms. When we arrive there they ran out of room with 2 queen beds so we were offered 1 king with sofa bed. I know sleeping on sofa bed is not fun and I would go for that only in emergency situation. So I asked Mark is there a better option and I was amazed what he did. He gave us two rooms with king bed right in front of each other. No extra charges. I was driving due to relocation therefore my car was stuffed. I asked Mark is it safe to keep all that stuff in the car and told this part of Albuquerque is not safe. So he advised us to park right in front of the hotel lobby where you temporary park for check in. He said its a well lit area and chances are very low that someone will have courage to steal from that location. I still removed the important items and left the car there per his direction and was lucky to survive the night without any break in.

Front desk staff was so polite and helpful. I could tell she was working hard to get the crowds of people checked into their rooms. She did not say our hotel room number which I always appreciate when they don’t because often it’s me and my children alone. Price was great for our two cats but the room smells like old urine. Since we had a long drive, we were too tired to complain. I haven’t stayed at a LaQuinta since I was a kid and was feeling nostalgic so the smell was disappointing. Thankfully, we always wear sandals in hotel rooms but it’s very off putting because I don’t like germs. It’s a shame that other animal owners can’t be responsible. The hotel is currently under reservations and they will have what looks to be some kind of laminate floor. I’m optimistic that will help future odors.
