  Musty and old. Stayed here two nights on the third floor. Lots of street noise. Train, traffic, loud stereos and homeless people yelling throughout the night. There are two gas stations across the street that bring lots of noise to the vicinity. The Hotel itself is mediocre, first thing I noticed was the smell. They allow pets so it may be the smell of urine in the carpets that hits you when you come in. They have done some updating but overall it’s pretty old and the ac/heating unit in the room put out a terrible smell when you turn it on. Thin walls. You can hear conversation from people in rooms next to you and slamming doors in the hallway. For a few bucks more there are much better places to stay a little farther down in Emeryville. Overall a pretty depressing experience if you are a light sleeper I don’t recommend it, but it is an ok place to stay for a night if you can’t find anywhere else or are in a budget.

  Clean and comfortable beds and room, but a few items needing repair. Nice but not perfect sound insulation. Breakfast was decent, through one morning the coffee was transparent and had grounds floating all around

  Please always avoid this place. It's the worst hotel we have ever stayed at and we have traveled worldwide and seen this kind of unbelievable mess the first time. 1. We found cockroaches in the bathroom over several days. 2. There were stains on the pillow cases, comforters and bed sheets. 3. The room and hallway smelled bad. 4. We had stomachache and diarrhea after eating the breakfast provided by the hotel. This place is just exteremely gross and disgusting. I have complained with Priceline.

  Rooms are clean and quiet, bathroom was recently remodeled (you can tell because everything looks brand new). Beds were comfortable. Receptionist was really nice and helpful. Hotel doors closed at 9 pm but I'm fine with that, because just people with a key room and access. Near by to UC Berkeley and good to spend one night rest.

  I love that they are pet friendly makes it so nice to bring our cats! The staff has pretty much always been amazing! Matt is super kind and goes put of his way to make sure everything is going well on your stay. Housekeeping is respectful and very good at their job. This hotel has become our home away from home.
